“They sure charge top-dollar for Apple repairs but they don't provide original parts. The LCD on my Mac Pro 15 in broke and I needed to get it replaced, so I took it to, what seemed to me online, a well-rated repair shop. When I went in to collect my laptop I noticed the LCD was made of some sort of plastic (the original is metal). They nonetheless charged me similar to what I would pay at the Apple store. Over time I also noticed that the screen on my laptop had issues with being cleaned; no matter what cleaner I used to clean the glass it always smudged and remained stained. The quality of their replacement is second-hand, and certainly not the original. Another issue I noticed was that the rim around the screen was beginning to crack (pictures below). How can a replacement part be charged so highly and still be of second-hand quality? If I can go back in time I would steer clear of this shop and just take my Mac to the Apple store.”
